Implantology Course with AGD PACE credits

Train in pairs (two dentists per chair) inside the UOD university clinic.

Level 1: 30 implants guaranteed as primary surgeon.

Level 2: 7 lateral sinus lifts guaranteed.

LEVEL 1

For dentists new to implant surgery who already have basic implantology theory and are comfortable with routine extractions and suturing.

What you will do
  • Place 30 implants (guaranteed) as primary surgeon over five days, and assist on additional cases to reinforce learning.
  • Perform single-tooth and small multi-unit placements in sites with adequate bone, plus extractions with immediate implants or socket grafting when indicated.
  • Master surgical fundamentals: incision and flap design, drilling sequence, primary stability/torque, suturing, and postoperative protocols.
  • Plan cases each morning using X-rays/CBCT with faculty guidance.
 
Outcomes & skills

Confidently plan and place implants in straightforward cases, manage soft tissue closure, and integrate implant surgery into your practice immediately after the course.

LEVEL 2

For experienced implant surgeons (50+ implants placed or Level 1 graduates) seeking predictable sinus elevation and advanced augmentation skills.

What you will do
  • Perform 7 lateral-window sinus lifts (guaranteed) under expert mentorship, with grafting and simultaneous implant placement when appropriate.
  • Tackle advanced augmentation (ridge split/expansion, particulate GBR with membranes, complex sites).
  • Manage complications (e.g., membrane tears, flap closure over grafts) and execute multi-quadrant/complex cases when available.

Confidently perform sinus augmentation and complex grafting to expand your practice scope beyond routine implant cases.

Prerequisites: A basic implantology theory certificate is required for Level 1 and Level 2. If you don’t have one, consider HKU — Implant

Which Level Should I Choose?

  • Choose Level 1 if you are new to implant surgery and want guaranteed repetition (30 implants) to build fundamentals fast.
  • Choose Level 2 if you are already placing implants routinely and want guaranteed lateral sinus lift experience (7 lifts) with advanced GBR.
Need the theory credential?

We recommend HKU’s Implant Dentistry (Coursera) taught by Dr. Nikos Mattheos — independent but accepted to meet IDIT’s theory requirement.
